Snow will be likly in the Northeast through the day, as a sytem moves along the coast. Accumulations are likely, with some areas getting over 6 inches. In the northwest and Northern Plains, a clipper system will be moving through, bringing snow to the area. Accumulations are likely, especially in the higher terrain in the Northwest. A clipper system will quickly move through the region, Monday-Wednesday. A swath of snow will be likely on the north side of the system, from the Dakota’s to the Northeast. Heavy accumulations of 9-12 inches will be possible from North Dakota into Wisconsin, and 6-9 inches possible in portions of the Northeast, as the system wraps up along the coast. There is a moderate risk for severe storms in Missouri, Illinois, and Arkansas. With avaliable instibility, and good dynamics, storms will become severe. On Friday, a system will continue to push east into the Plains. Showers and storms will be likely in the Plains and Great Lakes, as warm air moves in from the south. There is a slight risk for severe storms in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. With limited instibility, and a strong system moving through, storms are expected to become severe, with the main threats being damaging winds and hail . Yet another Winter storm will be moving through the region, Monday into Wednesday. Heavy snow will be possible from the Plains and into the Great Lakes, while ice will be possible on the southern edge of the snow. Snow will likely continue into Christmas Eve across the Great Lakes, as the system pulls out of the region. Snow accumulations may reach 6-9 inches from Northern Illinois up into Michigan. From Central Illinois to the Northeast, ice will be possible, until the precipitation turns to rain. Below is the snowfall outlook for this system.
