Saturday’s Weather Outlook; West/Plains/Midwest System


On Saturday, a storng system will move east, from the West and into the Plains. Heavy snow will be possible across many area in the West, including high and low elevations. In the Plains and Midwest, snow will develop on Saturday, and continue into the Night. Accumulations in the West and Plains may reach over 8 inches by the time the storm ends on Monday. Winds can be expected to gust over 40MPH in the West and Plains, creating blizzard conditions. Along with the snow and wind will be the very cold temperatures in the single digits and below zero. Wind chills may approach 60 below zero in some areas of the West and Plains. Some showers and isolated storms may develop late in the day, as moisture surges into the system.
