Tuesday-Thursday Plains/Great Lakes Snow Event


A storm system will push through the region Tuesday through Thursday. With cold air around, as precipitation moves in, it will be mostly in the form of snow. With a frist band of snow running from South Dakota/Nebraska, and up into Wisconsin from Tuesday into Wednesday. While a second band moves from Iowa up into Michigan on Wednesday and Thursday. Accumulations will be up to 3-6 inches on both band, with some amount over 6 inches in Michigan. Below is the snowfall forecast for this system.

Wednesday’s Weather Outlook; Plains/Great Lakes System


On Wednesday, a system will push throught the Plains, and into the Great Lakes. Showers and storms will be possible in the Southern Plains. With limited instibility, a few storms may become severe. With the main threats being hail and damaging winds. While snow will be possible on the northern side of the storm. A swath of snow will fall from Nebraska/South Dakota, eastward into Michigan. Accumulations may reach over 5 inches in many areas. Below is the thunderstorm and snowfall outlook for Wednesday.
