Saturday-Wednesday, Front Range/Plains “Winter” Storm

A developing storm system will slowly push from the Front Range and through the Plains, through the period. Snow will be likely on the backside of the system from Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico, on up into Iowa and Missouri. Accumulations are likely, with up to or over 12″ being likely along the Front Range and in portions of the Rockies. Totals in the Plains will likely range from 1-9″, depending on the location. Due to marginal temperatures, which will be near freezing for the duration of the event, this is expected to be a heavy, wet snow. Below is the snowfall forcast for this system.
