Saturday’s Weather Outlook, West System, Plains/Mississippi Valley System

On Saturday, a system will push towards the Mississippi Valley, as a system contines to push intot he West. showers and storms will be likely over portions of the Southern Plains and Mississippi Valley, as an upper low continues to slowly push through the region. A few storms may become severe across portions of the area during the Afternoon and Evening. As CAPE values will be around 2500 J/KG, LI’s of -5 and Effective Bulk Shear values up to 35KT. The lack of shear and forcing, will limit the overall severe threat and coverage. The main threats from anys storms that become severe will be damaging winds, hail and an isoalted tornado. In the West, a system will continue to push into the region. Showers and storms will be likely over portions of the region. A few storms may become sever ein portions of the Desrt southwest and Inter-Mountain West during the Afternoon and Evening. As CAPE values will be up to 2000 J/KG, LI’s up to -5 and Effective Bulk Shear valeus up to 30KT. The lack of shear, forcing and moisture, will limit the overall severe threat and coverage. The main threats from any storms that beocme severe will be damaging winds and hail. below is the thunderstorm outlook for Saturday.
