Tuesday’s Weather Outlook; Great Lakes/Northeast/Ohio Valley/Mid-Atlantic/Southeast/Plains System

On Tuesday, a system will push into the Northeast as a new system pushe sinto the Northwes.t Showers and storms will be likely over portions of the Great Lakes, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Plains, associated with a system pushing through the Northeast. There is a slight risk for severe storms in portions of Maryland, Deleware, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georiga. Across the northern portions of the cold front in portions of the Northeast and Eastern great Lakes, a few storms may become severe. As CAPE values will be around 2000 J/KG, LI’s of -6 and Effective Bulk Shear values up to 40KT. Storms will develop during the Afternoon and push eastwa through the day, before weakenign during the Evening as dirunal cooling sets in. Lmited forcing will limit the overall severe threat and coverage. Which will preclude a slight risk from being issued. The main threats from any storms that become severe will be damaging winds, hail and an isolated tornado. Further southwest along the frotn from Virginia down into Georiga; CAPE values will be around 3000 J/KG, LI’s of -8 and effective Bulk Shear values up to 40KT. severe storms willd evelop during the Afternoon from virginia down into Tennesse. These storms will push southeastward into the Evening, before weakening as diurnal cooling sets in. The main threats fromt he severe storms will be damaging winds, haila nd an isolated tornado. Further west along the frotn from Alabama and Tennesse into the Western Plains, a few storms may become severe. As CAPE values will be around 3000 J/KG, LI’s of -8 and Effective Bulk Shear values up to 40KT. Storms will develop during the Afternoon ahead and along the cold front from Alabama back into the Western Plains. These storms will push southeastward into the Night, as they weaken. The main threats from any storms that become severe will be damaging winds, hail and an isolated tornado. In the Northwest, a new system will move into bringing the chance of showers and storms tot he area. Below is the severe weather outlook for Tuesday.
