Saturday’s Weather Outlook; West/Plains System, Northeast/Mid-Atlantic/Tennesse Valley System

On Saturday, a system will push eastward into the Northeast, while a system affects the West and Plains. Showers and storms will be likely over portions  of the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Tennesse Valley, associated with a system moving through. There is a slight risk for severe storms in portions of North Carolina, Virginia, Tennesse, Kentucky, Deleware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. CAPE values will be around 3000 J/Kg and LI’s around -6. This along with a system pushing through, will help some storms become severe. An MCS will be ongoing in the Morning across poritons of the area, a few storms may be severe. As storms push eastward, they may re-strengthen and become severe. Other storms will develop ahead of the system from Pennesylvania down into Kentucky. These storms will push southeast into the Evening, before pushing offshore or weakening with diurnal cooling. The main threats from the severe storms will be hail, damaging winds and an isoaltec tornado. Across portions of the West and Plains, showers and storsm will be likely, as a system affects the regions. With limited instibility, a few storms may become severe in portions of the West. With the main threats being hail, damaging winds and an isoalted tornado. There is a slight risk for severe storms in portions of Kansas and Missouri. CAPE values will be around 2500 J/KG, LI’s of -6 and Effective Bulk Shear values of up to 50KT. This along with a system in the area, will help storms become severe. Severe storms will developin Kansas and Missouri during the Afternoon. These storms will push norhteast through the Evening, before weakening. Below is the severe weather outlook for Saturday.
