Monday’s Weather Outlook; Great Lakes/Mississippi Valley/Southern Plains/Ohio Valley/Mid-Atlantic System, West System

On Monday, a system will push eastwar dinto the Great Lakes, while a new system develops in the West. Showers and storms will be likely over portions of the Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Ohio Valley, Mississippi Valley and Southern Plains, associated with a system pushing through the Great Lakes. There is a slight risk for severe storms in portions of Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Texas. Along the warm and cold front from Michigan and Wisconsin down into Missouri and Kentucky. CAPE values will be around 4000 J/KG, LI’s of -10 and Effective Bulk Shear values of 25-55KT. this along with the system pushing through, will help storms become severe. In the wake of Morning convection, severe storms will develop in the Afternoon across Southern Wisconsin and Soutern Michigan, down into Southeastern Missouri. These storms will push eastward through the day, before weakenign during the Evening as diurnal cooling sets in. Further east along the warm front in portions of the eastenr Ohio Valley and Western Mid-Atlantic regions, a few storms may become severe. Further south along the cold fron in Texas. Severe storms will develop in the mid to late Afternoon. These storms will push eastward into the Evening, before weakening as diurnal cooling sets in. The main threats from the severe stroms will be hail, damaging winds and some tornadoes. In the West, a new system will begin developing across the region. Showers and storms will be likely over portions of the region, associated witht hsi system. With limited instibility, a few sotrm smay become severe. The main thretas from any severe storms will be hail and damaging winds. Below is the severe weather outlook for Monday.
