Monday’s Weather Outlook; Plains/Mississippi Valley/Great Lakes System, Northwest System

On Monday, a system will continue to push eastward into the Great Lakes, while a new system enters the Northwest. Showers and storms will be possible in portions of the Great Lakes, Mississippi Vallet and Plains, as a system pushes through. Debris clouds and remaining convection from storms the Sunday Night and Monday Morning will limit the severe weather potential, compared to the past few days. With limited instibility, some storms may become severe on the southern part of the cold front pushing through the region from the system further north. This potential will exist from Illinois dwon into Texas. The main threats fromt he severe storms will be hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado. In the Northwest, a new system will push onshore into the region. showers and storms will be possible in the lower elevations and snow in the higher elevations.
