On Monday, a system will push through the Northeast, while a system will begin to push intot he Plains. Rain and snow showers will be likely in the Northeast. Accumulations of snow are likely in the higher elevations of the interior Northeast. In the higher elevations of the West and Northern Plains. Snow will be likely, as a developing system begins to enter the Plains. Accumulations will be likely. Showers and storms will be likely int he Plains late in the day. There is a slight risk for severe storms in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas. CAPE values will be around 1000J/KG, LI’s of -3 and ample moisture. With this instibility and a warm front pushing north through the area, storms are expected to become severe. With the main threats being hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado. These showers and storms will push northeast into the Midwest and lower Great Lakes through the Night. Heavy rainfall will bepossible once again in some areas.
