Friday-Sunday Plains/Midwest/Great Lakes Winter Storm

A system will move through the region Friday through Sunday. Snow will be likely on the north side of the system. An axis of accumulations will run from Nebraska to Michigan. With two heavy corridors of snow within the main axis, one in Nbraska and the other in Wisconsin to Michigan. snow accumualtions will reach over 6 icnhes in both of the heavy corridors. At times snowfall rates may reach 1-2 inches per hour. Freezing rain will also be a problem on the south side of the snow axis. Ice accumulations are likely, with 0.25-0.50″ of ice expected in portions of Wisconsin and Michigan. Below is the snowfall outlook for this system.
