A long duration winter strom will impact the region from Saturday into Thursday. Heavy snow accumulations will be likely from the Ohio Valley on up into the Northeas, where over 9″ of snow will be likely. Heavy ice accumulations will also belikely from the Southern Plains on up through the Ohio Valley and Mid atlantic. Ice accumulations of over 1″ are likely from Oklahoma on up into Western Kentucky. Significant travel impacts are likely, also with power outages. Below is the snowfall and ice accumulation maps for this system.
