Thursday’s Weather Outlook; Great Lakes/Northeast Clipper System, Great Lakes Lake Effect Snow

6:30PM

On Thursday, a clipper system will continue to push through the Great Lakes into the Northeast. As Lake effect snow begins once again in the Great Lakes. A clipper system will be moving through the Great Lakes and Northeast through the day. A few rain and snow showers will be possible with this system, along with a reinforcing shot of cold air. Behind this system, there will be another northwest flow, which will help lake effect snow begin once again in the Great Lakes. This round of lake effect snow will continue into Friday, with many areas seeing 6-12 inches of snow accumulations. In some favored areas more than 12 inches of snow is likely. Below is my thunderstorm outlook, and below that is the clipper and lake effect snow outlook for Thursday.
