Sunday-Wednesday, Great Lakes Lake Effect Snow Event

A lake effect snow event will continue to occur from sudnay into at least Wednesday. Heavy bands of lake effect snow will be possible down wind of the Great Lakes. Snow accumulations of 6-12 inches will be likely in many areas, with accumulations in excess of 12 inches also possible in favored areas. This event will be driven by a continued northwest flow over the region. This set up will break down late in the week, ending the snowfall potential. Below is a map showing areas that will be at the highest risk for the lake effect snow, although some areas not highlighted will also recieve some.
