November 5-8th Blizzard Update


An early season blizzard continues to affect the Northernb Plains. Heavy snow and blizzard conditions continue, and will continue into Friday and Saturday. Record snowfall of 45.7 inches has fallen so far in Deadwood, SD. More accumulations will occur into Saturday. Sevral roads are closed across North Dakota and South Dakota, in other areas travel is not advised. Below is my updated snowfall map for the system; includes what has fallen already and what is forecasted. Below the map is a shot at Deadwood, SD.

Friday’s Weather Outlook; Plains/Midwest/Great Lakes System


On Friday, a system will continue to slowly move across the Central U.S. Shwers and storms will be possible through the day across portions of the Great LAkes, Ohio Valley, and Southeast. On the backside of the system in the Northern Plains, heavy snow will be likely. Blizzard conditions will be possible, with additional accumulations likely. Below is my thunder storm outlook for Friday.
