Monday’s Weather Outlook; Plains System

On Monday, a system will continue to work through the Plains. I have issued a slight risk for severe storms on Monday, for portions of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, and Minnesota. In the Plains, in the Afternoon, SB CAPE will be up around 2500, ML CAPE around 2000, LI’s of -5, and Effective Bulk Shear of up to 40-55KT. This along with a system moving through, will help severe storms develop. The storms will persist into the Night, as the push east, with the main threats being hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado. Below is my severe weather outlook for Monday.
