Friday’s Weather Outlook; Tropical Storm Hanna, Plains Disturbance

On Friday the remnants of Hurricane Gustav will push out of the Great Lakes, as Tropical Storm Hanna begins to affect the Southeast, and a disturbance works through the Plains. I have issued a slight risk for severe storms on friday in portions of Texas, and Oklahoma. As Tropical Storm Hanna works in toward the Southeast Coast on Friday, there will be the chance of some isolated tornadoes. In the Southern Plains, in the Afternoon, SB CAPE and ML CAPE will get up around 2000, and LI’s of -6. This combined with a disturbance moving through, will help storms to develop. Some of which may be severe. Threats from any severe storms will be damaging winds, hail, and some tornadoes. Below is my severe weather outlook for Friday.
