Friday’s Severe Weather Outlook

2:00AM

An area of wave of low pressure will ride along a front into the Ohio Valley/Great Lakes region, while a new wave enters the Upper Plains, both waves will produce severe weather. I have issued a slight risk for severe storms on Friday. In the Ohio Valley/Great Lakes SB CAPE and ML CAPE are expected to get up around 4500 ahead of a wave moving through the area. This will create severe storms to develop, which will work through the area, into the Night. In the Upper Plains, SB CAPE and ML CAPE will be up around 2000, combined with a wave moving in, this will cause severe storms to develop after the CAP breaks. The storms will last into the Night. Threats from any severe storms will be damaging winds, hail, and an isolated tornado. Below is my severe weather outlook for Friday.
