Major Late Weekend/Early Week Winter Storm

Yet another major winter storm looks to affect the Central and Eastern U.S., Sunday through Wednesday. The first wave of low pressure will move through the region Sunday and Monday bringing the chance for severe storm in the southern states, flooding rains to the Mississippi Vally, and several inches of snow on the back side in parts of: Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Late Monday Night into Wednesday a second wave of low pressure will move into the region and bring another chance of severe storms in the Southeast, flooding rains in the Ohio Valley, and significant amounts of snow and ice on the back side of the system in: Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas, Ohio, and into the Northeast. I will have a more indepth post as new information comes in tonight. Below are maps showing where snow and ice may fall with each storm.

Early Morning Clipper/Radar Update


A clipper system continues to exit the region. It continues to snow from Michigan to the Northeast. So far this clipper system has produced around 6 inches of snow. Snow will continue in may area’s for several more hours. Tomorrow I will post a list of the highest snow totals from this clipper. Below is radar imagry with comments on them.
