Tuesday’s Weather Outlook; Mississippi Valley System, Northwest System

On Tuesday, a system will continue to push through the Missisisppi Valley, while a system continues to affect the Northwest. Rain will be likely in portions of the Mississippi Valley, as a system continues to slowly push through the area. Snow will be possible on th ebackside of the system, in portions of Iowa, Kansas and Missouri, little or no accumulation is expected. In the Northwest, a system will continue to affect the area. Showers and storms will be likely, along with accumulating snow in portions of the Cascades. Below are the thunderstorm and snowfall outlooks for Tuesday.

Monday’s Weather Outlook; Plains/Mississippi Valley System, Northwest System

On Monday, a system will continue to push through the Plains, while a system continues to affect the Northwest. Showers and storms will be likely in portions of the Plains and Mississippi Valley, associated with a system that will cotninue to slowly push through the Central Plains. On the backside of the system, accumulating snow will be likely across portions of the Central Plains, where up to 9″ may fall. In the Northwest, a systemw ill continue to affect the area with rain, along with accumulating snow in portions of the Cascades. Below are the thunderstorm and snowfall outlooks for Monday.

Saturday-Wednesday, Front Range/Plains “Winter” Storm

12:00PM

A developing storm system will slowly push from the Front Range and through the Plains, through the period. Snow will be likely on the backside of the system from Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico, on up into Iowa and Missouri. Accumulations are likely, with up to or over 12″ being likely along the Front Range and in portions of the Rockies. Totals in the Plains will likely range from 1-9″, depending on the location. Due to marginal temperatures, which will be near freezing for the duration of the event, this is expected to be a heavy, wet snow. Below is the snowfall forcast for this system.

Sunday’s Weather Outlook; Inter-Mountain west/Plains/Mississippi Valley System, Northwest System

On Sunday, a system will push into the Plains, while a system continues to effect the Northwest. Showers and storms will be likely over portions of the Plains and Mississippi Valley, associated with a system pushing through the Plains. A few isolated storms may become severe, as instibility will be limited. The main threats from any storms that become severe, will be damaging winds and hail. On the backside of the system, snow will be likely in portions of the Rockies and Plains. Accumulatins are likeley, with up to 12 inches expected in the lower elevations, and over 12 inches in the higher elevations. In the Northwest, a system will continue to effect the area with rain, along with accumulating  snow in the Cascades and Rockies. Below are the thunderstorm and snowfall outlooks for Sunday.

Saturday’s Weather Outlook; Northeast System, Midwest/Great Lakes System, Plains/Inter-Mountain West System, Northwest System

On Saturday, the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida will continue to effect the Northeast, while a system pushes through the Great Lakes, a system develops along the Front Range, and a new system pushes intot he Northwest. Rain will be likely in portions of the Northeast, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida continue to effect the region. In the Great Lakes, a system will push through the area bringing the chance of rain to the area. Snow will be possible on the norhside of the system, in portions of the Northern Midwest. Along the front range, a new system will develop. Showers and storms will be likel yin portions of the Plains and Inter-Mountain West, associated with this system. Accumulating snow will be likely on the northside of the system, in portions of the Rockies and along the Front Range. In the Northwest, yet another new system will move into the area, bringign the chance of rain to portions of the area, along with accumulating snow to portions of the Cascades. On Friday, a system will continnue to effect the portions of the East Coast, while a system pushes through the Plains, and a system pushes through the Northwest. Showers and storms will be likely in portions of the Mid-Atlantic, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida continue to effect the area. In the Plains, a system will push through the area. Showers will be likely in portions of the Inter-Mountain West, Plains, and Midwest. Accumulating snow will be likely in portions of the Rockies. Int he Northwest, a system will continue to push through the area. Showers and storms will be likely in portions of the area, along with accumulating snow in portions of the Cascades and Rockies. Showers and storms will be likely in portions of the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida continue to slowly push through the area. Heavy flooding rainfall is likely across portions of the area. In the West, a system will eject out into the Plains. This system will bring the chance of rain to portions of the West and Plains, along with accumulating snow in portions of the Rockies. In the Northwest, a new system will push into the area. Wednesday’s Weather Outlook; Southeast/Mid-Atlantic System, West System

On Wednesday, a system will cotninue to push through the Southeast, as a system continues to push through the West. Ahowers and storms will be likely in portions of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida, which will continue to move through the region. Heavy flooding rainfall will be likely. In the West, a systemw ill continue to push through the region. Showers and storms will be likely across portions of the region, along with accumulating snow in portions of the Cascades, Rockies and Sierra. Showers and storms will be likely in portions of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, as Tropical Storm Ida slowly moves through the Southeast. Heavy flooding rains and high winds will be possible. In the Northwest, a system will continue to affect the area. Showers and storms will be likely in portions of the area, along with accumulating snow in portions of the Cascades and Rockies. Monday, November 9th – Hurricane Bill, November 4-10th 2009

12:00PM

Formerly Hurricane Ida has been downgraded to Tropical Storm Ida, as it has weakened as it continues to push northward through the Gulf Of Mexico. Ida is expected to further weaken as it nears the Gulf Coast.  This system is forecasted to make landfall as a moderate to possibly strong torpical storm. Landfall will likely be between  Grand Isle, LA and Gulf Breeze, FL. Heavy flooding rains and high winds between 45-75MPH will be likely through into Tuesday,  across portions of the Florida Panhandle, Southeast Louisiana, Southern Alabama, Southern Missisippi, and Southwest Georiga. High surf will be likely along much of the Gulf Coast. There is also the potential for severe storms in the outerbands, and and isolated tornado. Below is the possible track and time points, that Tropical Storm Ida will take.
