Tuesday’s Weather Outlook; Southeast/Mid-Atlantic System/Tropical Storm Ida, Northwest System

On Tuesday, a sysystem will continue to affect the Northwest, while Tropical Storm Ida pushes through the Southeast. Showers and storms will be likely in portions of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, as Tropical Storm Ida slowly moves through the Southeast. Heavy flooding rains and high winds will be possible. In the Northwest, a system will continue to affect the area. Showers and storms will be likely in portions of the area, along with accumulating snow in portions of the Cascades and Rockies. Below are the thunderstorm and snowfall outlook for Tuesday.

Tropical Storm Ida, November 2009

Monday, November 9th – Hurricane Bill, November 4-10th 2009

Formerly Hurricane Ida has been downgraded to Tropical Storm Ida, as it has weakened as it continues to push northward through the Gulf Of Mexico. Ida is expected to further weaken as it nears the Gulf Coast.  This system is forecasted to make landfall as a moderate to possibly strong torpical storm. Landfall will likely be between  Grand Isle, LA and Gulf Breeze, FL. Heavy flooding rains and high winds between 45-75MPH will be likely through into Tuesday,  across portions of the Florida Panhandle, Southeast Louisiana, Southern Alabama, Southern Missisippi, and Southwest Georiga. High surf will be likely along much of the Gulf Coast. There is also the potential for severe storms in the outerbands, and and isolated tornado.
