Wednesday’s Weather Outlook; Mississippi Valley/Ohio Valley/Southeast/Mid-Atlantic System, West System

On Wednesday a system will push eastward through the Ohio Valley, while a system continues to slowly push intot he West. Showers and storms will be likely over portions of the Southern Mississippi Valley, Ohio Valley, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, as a system pushes through the region. There is a slight risk for severe storms in portions of Kentucky, Tennesse, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland Deleware, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. Along the startionary front from the Mid-Atlantic into the Ohio Valley, CAPE values will be around 2000 J/KG, LI’s of -7 and Effective Bulk Shear vlaues of 20-45KT. This along with the system pushing through, will help storms become severe. Severe storms will develop in the Early Afternoon from Kentucky and Tennesse eastward into Virginia. These storms will push eastward into the Evening, before weakening as diurnal cooling sets in. Along the cold front from Arkansas back down into Texas,  CAPE values will be around 3500 J/KG, LI’s of -9 and Effective Bulk Shear values up to 20KT. This along with the system pushing through, will help storms become severe. Severe storms will develop in the Afternoon. These storms will push eastward into the Evening, before weakening as diurnal cooling sets in. The main threats from the severe storms will be hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado. In the West, a system will continue to slowly push into the region. Showers and storms will be possible over portions of the region. With limited instibility, a few storms may become severe. With the main threats being hail and damaging winds. Below is the severe weather outlook for Wednesday.
