Tuesday’s Weather Outlook; West/Plains/Ohio Valley/Mississippi Valley/Mid-Atlantic/Southeast System, West System, Great Lakes System

On Tuesday, a system will push through the Plains, a system will push through the Great Lakes and a new system will begin to affect the West. Showers and storms will be likely across portions of the West, Plains, Mississippi Valley, Southeast, Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic, associated with a system pushing through thr Plains. There is a slight risk for severe storms in portions of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennesse, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Deleware. Along the cold front front Kansas down into Texas, CAPE values will be around 3500 J/KG, LI’s of -9 and Effective Bulk Shear values of 20-50KT. This along with the cold front associated with the system pushing through, will help storms become severe. In the wake of Morning convection, severe storms will develop in the Afternoon from Kansas into Texas. These storms will push east and southward into the Night before weakening. Along and south of the Stationary boundary from Missouri into the Mid-Atlantic, CAPE values will be around 2500 J/KG, LI’s of -8 and Effective Bulk Shear vaules of 40KT or less. This along with the stationary boundary in the area, will help storms become severe. Severe storms will develop along and south of the front in the early Afternoon. These storms will push eatward into the Evening, beofre weakeing. The main threats from the severe storms will be hail, damaging winds and some tornadoes. In the Great Lakes, a weak system will push through the region, bringing the chance of some showers and storms. In the West, a new system will begin to slowly push through the region. Showers and storms will be likely ove rportions of the region. With limited instibility, a few storms may become svere. with the main threats being hail and damaging winds. In portions of the Southern Mississippi Valley and Southern, Afternoon pop up showers and storms will be likely. With mimited instibility, a few storms may be severe.
